Dear Alumnus, 

The Old Boys Association of Vidyashala (OBA) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It is a momentous occasion that fills our hearts with gratitude and nostalgia. Under the guidance of the revered monks and teachers, countless alumni have reached great heights both in India and abroad in their respective fields.

Vidyashala holds a special place in our hearts, as it is here that we imbibed character, leadership skills, and nurtured our holistic development. As beneficiaries of this esteemed institution, we recognize the profound impact it has had on our lives, and now, we feel a deep sense of belonging to give back to society.

Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, parent institution of Vidyashala, has undertaken a project to construct Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka at the historic place where Swami Vivekananda stayed during his visit to Mysuru in November 1892. It is in this spirit that we turn our attention to a divine endeavor that presents an opportunity for us to contribute meaningfully. We are delighted to express our intent to join hands with our Ashrama in building the Viveka Smaraka, where thousands of students will benefit from the ideals instilled in us at Vidyashala.

On this momentous Golden Jubilee of our association, managing committee of OBA has decided to raise ₹10 crores for the Viveka Smaraka project. Our commitment is to fund the construction of the ground floor of Smaraka which includes multidimensional experience theater, exhibition centre and conference hall as our Golden Jubilee Project. In reverence to the great Swami Shambhavanandaji, the founder of Vidyashala, we propose to name the block as the "Swami Shambhavanandaji Block." This is our humble tribute to the visionary leader who laid the foundation for our alma mater.

We hope that you will generously consider this precious opportunity to reciprocate by extending your financial support for preserving the legacy of our alma mater.
